An Awesome Aiken Summer Series

Logan Mozingo and Nominee

The White Horses team had tremendous success and summer fun during the Aiken Summer Classic Horse Shows held at Bruce’s Field in June. We had two amazing weeks spent with Classic Company Ltd., and enjoyed their hospitality and one of our favorite venues.

Huge congratulations to Logan Mozingo and Nominee as they captured their first USHJA Pony Hunter Derby win! It was a banner day for the White Horses ponies, as Kempton Plaisance and Snow Pea tackled their first Derby together for fifth place, and Logan rode Ted Lasso to seventh place, for three of the top 10 ribbons. It was an outstanding day of competition for the kiddos in the Pony Ring!

Hope Hewitt and Susan Davidson’s Fine Print

We also had “Bays for Days” at Aiken. Sydney Purze impressively returned to the Low Adult Hunter Ring on her Times Square, Olivia Lonneman and Susan Davidson’s First Edition partnered again to a big Ariat Medal ribbon that keeps her firmly ranked on the Ariat National Leaderboard, while Logan and Ted Lasso earned some top model and jumping ribbons in the Pony Hunters!

The adventures continue for Fine Print, who also received great ribbons in the competitive Baby Green Hunters with Hope aboard. It’s so exciting to see this newbie take it all “in stride” with Hope. Thank you Susan for trusting us with your youngster!

Congratulations also go out to Skyline and Samantha Elliott. The pair captured the Adult Amateur, 18-35, reserve championship with top-three ribbons in every over fences class and in the under saddle. The pair also went on to win the NAL/WIHS Adult Hunter Classic in a very competitive class.

Sophie Stofko and Equine Couture’s King Soloman

During Week 1, it was blue ribbons galore for Sophie Stofko and Equine Couture’s King Soloman. “Sully” and Sophie topped the Equitation 12-14 flat, the Marshall+Sterling 3’3” Jumping Seat Medal and placed second in the NHS Hamel Foundation 3’3” Medal and the SCHJA Governor’s Cup. These two are well on their way to competing in the Fall Equitation Finals. Great riding and many well-earned accolades posted for this new pair; a very successful showing!

Thank you to our entire team who help prepare us at home, who make us feel our best, and by getting us on the road wherever we need to be!
