Together Successful: Tryon and IHSA
Sophie Stofko and Quiero Van’t Laar
When two worlds collided, we became one unbeatable force! The Tryon Spring 1 and the IHSA National Championships were held concurrently at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina. And when the week ended on May 3, we counted TWO IHSA National Championship titles for the College of Charleston and many “firsts” for out White Horses students.
Olivia Lonneman and Quiero Van’t Laar earned an impressive second place in the $10,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby, and the pair also topped the Ariat Adult Medal and the NHS THIS Adult Medal.
Logan Mozingo and Callendar Bay
With Sophie Stofko in the irons, Quiero Van’t Laar carried her to victory in the SCHJA Governor’s Cup!
Snow Pea had an impressive comeback with Logan Mozingo, taking great ribbons in the Children’s Hunter Pony section. Logan also combined forces with Hope King and the duo piloted Callander Bay to wins in the Foothills Children’s/Adult Hunters and Foothills Open Hunters.
Special congratulations to our College of Charleston National Champions Maggie Armes and Meredith Miramont!
Meredith Miramont receives her awards as Individual Limit Flat National Champion.
Maggie Armes earned the Individual Intro National Championship.
