Triumphs At Tryon Spring 3
Logan Mozingo and Ted Lasso
It was a “wow” of a WCHR week at the Tryon Spring 3, held May 12-17 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina.
There were huge ribbons, monster tracks and some big hearts! Congratulations to all of our combos on their big wins.
Ted Lasso and Logan Mozingo continued their winning ways in the Small/Medium Pony Hunter section, taking the championship with wins over fences and under saddle in addition to a strong third in the USHJA Pony Hunter Derby. Logan and Nominee also collected great ribbons in the Large Pony Hunters, with an impressive second in the conformation class.
Sophie Stofko and Equine Couture’s King Soloman
Snow Pea and Kempton Plaisance added Children’s Hunter Pony ribbons to the banner, including a win under saddle and excellent ribbons over fences, including a fourth in the Children’s Hunter Pony Classic.
So Be It and Hope Murph earned the Children’s Hunter, 15-17, reserve championship and topped the NAL/WIHS Children’s Hunter Classic over a strong field of contenders.
Susan Davidson’s Fine Print debuted with outstanding results, including ribbons in the Baby Green Hunters both over fences and under saddle with Hope Hewitt in the irons.
Hope Murph and So Be It
Skyline and Samantha Elliott had great rounds in the Adult Amateurs and the Modified Adults, with top-three placings over fences in both sections.
Our Equitation riders continued to shine, with Olivia Lonneman and Quiero Van’t Laar and Sophie Stofko and Equine Couture’s King Soloman producing great round. Olivia claimed third in the Bryan Jones Adult Medal and fourth in the Hamel Foundation Medal as highlights. Sophie picked up ribbons in the 12-14 age group Equitation and also rode to second in the SCHJA Governor’s Cup.
A huge thank you to our entire team on the road and back home for all that you do to make these dreams become OUR reality!
